 If you've been using Windows 10 for a few days you may began to notice suggested app advertisements right on the start menu. Well Microsoft has decided to use a small portion of the Start Menu to promote apps in the Windows Apps Store. This has become an issue feature that many user want to disable simply because they don't want ads in their Start Menu. This article will show how you two easy methods to disable Start Menu Ads on your PC. Method 1 If suggested app ads are already displayed on your Start Menu, the easiest method to disable them is to simply right click on the ad and select Turn off all suggestions.  Method 2 Alternatively, right click on the TaskBar and select Settings. The System Recovery feature in Windows 8 and 10 is a great feature that enables you to fix your computer if it ever gets stuck in a state in which it will not boot properly. A number of tools are included, such as Automatic Repair, System Restore, Refresh your PC, System Image Recovery, and Memory Diagnostics, along with a way for you to access the command prompt.
To get started, you will need a USB flash drive that is 256 MB or larger and plug it in. Open the Start screen, type in recoverydrive.exe, and then hit Enter. Problem: Dead (Defective) Pixels are pixels on a liquid crystal display (LCD) monitor that remains unlit (fail to reproduce light levels correctly), or black, when it should be activated and displaying a color. Each pixel on an LCD screen is made from three separate subpixels: red, green and blue. When combined, its form the colors that users see on the monitor. A dead pixel occurs when the transistor activate the amount of light that shows through all three subpixels malfunctions and results in a permanently black pixel. Dead pixels are rare and largely go unnoticed by the user. Solutions: Dead pixels are usually caused by manufacturing defects, and they will often stay illuminated for the life of the panel. In many cases it's possible to fix the pixel using either software tools or manual manipulation.
If your a fan of minimalist desktop experiences, hiding the desktop icons are an easy way to clean up the Windows interface. Instead of saving everything to your desktop, use the default profile folders such as downloads and documents. Actually hiding all the icons on your desktop is a very simple customization hidden in the right-click context menu. Just right-click on the desktop, select View, and then Show desktop icons to remove the check. The icons will be hidden instantly.  |
